Intent
We want all our children to become competent and confident users of technology. We want our children to be responsible creative learners and users of digital technology in the worldwide online community. We want our children to understand the importance of the digital world and how to safely navigate it.
E-safety
E-safety is taught both explicitly and as an embedded theme within any lesson. Pupils follow the SMART message with posters : to remind them to: "Be SMART online. SAFE - Keep your personal information safe; MEET - Meeting up with someone you only know online, even a friend of a friend, can be dangerous as this person is still a stranger; ACCEPTING - Think carefully before you click on or open something online; RELIABLE - You cannot trust everything you see online; TELL - Tell a trusted adult if something or someone ever makes you feel upset, worried or confused".
