At Oakfield we believe it is important to prepare our children to be responsible citizens of the future and to take on leadership roles and responsibilities. 

In Year 6 all children are given the opportunity to put themselves forward for the roles of: House Captain, Vice House Captain, Sports Captain and Vice Sports Captain. The children write a speech and deliver it to their year group, who all cast a vote to determine who is awarded each role. 

Throughout the course of Year 6 our Captains and Vice Captains are given a varied range of responsibilities, which include conducting school tours, supporting younger children, organising equipment and chants on sports day and setting up the hall for assemblies.
